Much ado today! All with my Savior.

  • will be on time for prayer before worship & it will be amazing
    [x but next Sunday is another chance to make this into a habit!]
  • will clean the room (read: house, as I am but a college student living at home & therefore my duties consist of free labor lovingly helping out) like it’s spring cleaning time [half a day is not enough]
  • will organize belongings & discard unnecessary things (stop being a packrat) [see previous]
  • will (hopefully) practice LA driving w/papa Lee & head to USC for SH pick-up
    [x another time; so glad she’s home though] 
  • will purchase the much-needed parking permit online [√]
  • will be prepared for the new semester (no more rushing in the morn) [√]
  • will perform cardio, weights & hula-hoop for daily exercise [√ √ √]
  • will wear my night contacts tonight (and every night from now on! Can’t take this for granted & must stop squinting in the daytime)
    [√ let night 1 commence]

I know I’m forgetting something. But I’ll leave this here for now for some good ol’fashioned accountability! So motivated this morning; hoping it lasts. I know that I can’t do this alone so I’m leaning on You and on you beautiful people.

Here’s to a new school semester-to learning new things, to remembering the old, to applying what I’ve realized & reflected-upon these past 5 weeks.

Today’s sermon by our Pastor Billy, based on Psalm 1, was focused upon a single point: delighting in the Word of God is the way to life. Rather than merely coming from the angle of discipline, delighting in the act of meditating on God’s Word actually kills two birds with one stone. I was moved by Scripture & by P.Billy’s illustrations to view Bible-reading in a new perspective. I want to thirst and hunger for righteousness… For God to reign in every aspect of my life. I’m nothing alone but everything in my identity as a God’s daughter. I’m so incredibly weak and short-tempered—I’ve lost count of my failures and the number of times I’ve given in to temptation—but I’m holding on to the Promises. I know that I’m here, that I’m me, for a reason.

For always, Soli Deo Gloria! I’m so excited for what’s to come!!!

The anatomy nerd in me is dancing. Seriously though, this picture is awesome. Much of it is anatomically sound too, as the ribs are a major protective structure for the organs of the upper trunk, the lungs and heart are connected via the pulmonary artery & vein, the liver is connected to the stomach via the common duct… and on it goes throughout the body. From the visible to the microscopic, He holds everything together. And though the body ultimately fails, He doesn’t. Our Creator. Who is greater? “For you created my inmost being;you knit me together in my mother’s womb.I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful,I know that full well.” - Psalm 139:13-14
